Spring break 2011♥

Florida born and raised but I've got Jersey in my veins... was an ultimate success! I enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything went great. Let me give you the deets...

Last weekend was Tampa Pro and was and usually is the BEST way to start my spring break.

Monday we hit up Green Key beach♥
Getting our tan on. ;-)

Tuesday we hit up the Big Busch aka Busch Gardens♥
Still haven't gotten a pic with Big Bird or Elmo. :(

Wednesday we hit up Publix to start applying for summer work while I got all my spring break hw done♥


In case you didn't know, Dunkin Donuts was the official sponsor of my Spring Break reality. :)

Thursday I stayed home for the first day all break and totally had fun chilling with no make-up on and told anybody who questioned my habits this:
I mean, it was St. Patty's day after all♥

Friday, we beached it up at Honeymoon Island♥


Saturday, I went to the movies and saw Beastly. It was really good. :D


Afterward, we hit up Taco Bell. We came home and I did Pilates before watching Grease and Grown-ups. My best friend Geniveve is a popcorn hog, just saying. :P

Sickest spring break in a while♥

The biggest plus: It was way less expensive than traveling to some place like Miami or California. Maybe, next year I'll travel to an exotic location for spring break. :)

Tampa Pro 2011: The Gnarliest Skate Contest Ever

Florida born and raised but I've got Jersey in my veins...Seriously. If you weren't at Tampa Pro this year, don't worry. Chellyz got yo back. :)

Everyone was here this year. There were 90 skaters attempting to qualify and make the Top 30 to make it to the Semi-Finals where the Top 10 from there go against the Top 2 qualifiers of the weekend. Those two Top dawgs were none other than Torey Pudwill and Zered Bassett.
In case you never heard of the Tampa Pro. It's a professional contest that has been going on since 1995 and it takes place 45-50 minutes away from my house in Port Richey, FL at this place called the Skatepark of Tampa:

The Difference between Love and Respect

You would never guess who I saw this weekend. I personally thought I would never talk to this person again or even be able to look this person in the eye ever again.

Did anyone say Ryan Sheckler? I could have sworn I just heard someone say it through the computer screen.

Well, you're right.

On Saturday, I went to the Sk8park of Tampa for the following event which benefitted Boards for Bros.


It was kewl because I finally got to meet a friend of mine that I made over facebook who I met through the Sheckler Foundation:

What was the best part of the event was seeing how good Ryan was with the little guys. He had incredible patience with them. He really wanted to help them learn the tricks. It was really incredible and it was a side of Ryan I've never gotten to see up close and personal. Besides that, the kids, the teenage girls, and the moms were mobbing and going fan-crazy. The little kids even tried to follow him into the bathroom. LOl. While he was mobbed by fans who only asked him for pictures and autographs, my mother who is such an AMAZING lady decided to be the polar bear that broke the ice and asked Ryan how he was. His face lit up and he was like, "I'm good. How are you?" Then, he smiled at me. :) FYI, his smile was 100% Grade A Cheese. :P For those that don't know me personally, that means it was a real, genuine smile from the heart. Believe me, I've seen enough fake cheese to know the difference.

Yup, he recognized us. After all these years, it's still nice to see that he knows and appreciates us for supporting him and his career. :)

Today was an even greater day. We heard Ryan was going to be with the rest of the Etnies team at the Westside Skate Shop in Tarpon Springs, FL doing an autograph signing. Tarpon is so close to where we live in Port Richey so we knew we had to go and we figured it was time Geniveve Rosalynn got to meet her hero, Sheckler. :)

Geniveve wore her Ryan Sheckler for Prez shirt and was getting a lot of attention. One of the skaters on the line waiting with us took her picture and as always, she posed and he got a kick out of her. He told us, "You're dog is righteous." Skaters are Legit the shit!

Ryan recognized her when she went under the table to greet him. (Yes, she went right up to Ryan. SN: My girl Geniveve is a freaking smart cookie.)

He even told my mom he remembered the shirt. His DQ: "I know that shirt."

We had him sign the shirt and then he took a picture with all of us girls minus Mom.


It was funny because we were the only people Ryan took a picture with. That's just the perks of befriending a skater before he is MTV and Blockbuster film famous.

Seriously, be nice to people. You never know who's going to make it to the top of the fame ladder a year from now.

Moral of the story: I am not in love with Ryan nor in like with Ryan. What I can say is that I have always cared for him and respected him as a person. Yes, not a skater but first and foremost, A PERSON.

Celebrities are people too.

Not going to say I'm a fan of Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriguez, or Chaz Ortiz, etc. I'm just a fan of skateboarding who grew up befriending and supporting Ryan Sheckler because at that point of my life, it was my God-given purpose. See the rewards I'm reaping today.

Tampa Pro next weekend and I have direct confirmation that Ryan is going to be there.

It's going to be sick.

I'm Away on Holiday♥

Florida born and raised but I've got Jersey in my veins...

Well, I hit up O-town this weekend with the fam because we all needed a holiday♥ Let me tell you the story. :)

On Friday, we ate cake and Jamie opened her presents

I gave her a Dunkin Donuts card to suffice her Coolatta addiction. She already used half of it♥

Then we headed to Orlando for the night and stayed at the Disney Swan.


Chilled by the pool after riding the elevator that was equivalent to riding the Tower of Terror (scary shit) and straddling parking space 69.
At the pool, my sister Jamie and I had too much fun people watching to see which guys would look at us as they walked by:
Jayde's majority was little boys.
My majority was dads with kids and/or strollers.
Jamie's majority was old men. Can anyone say D-I-N-O-S-A-UR? :P
Even the ducks were kewling off.

After the pool, I came back and brewed some Starbucks coffee.
and we got all fancy for Jamie's bday dinner at Portebello's in Downtown Disney!

It was perfecto. I got a real Italian latte while Jamie got free bday cake that was Heavenly♥

Then we went sight-seeing around Downtown Disney.

Saw a hot-air balloon with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell on it.:D

We bordered a water taxi and a Disney Bus and arrived back to the swan where things got KRAZY! :)



Then, we hit up the Boardwalk at Walt Disney World's Boardwalk resort.


Today, we ended up going to Cracker Barrel before I got back to Leo.

We had so much fun. We missed Geniveve and Dad TONS but we had a memorable time.

Moving On Up

Florida born and raised but I've got Jersey in my veins... To a more joyous, more peaceful me.

This week was full of unexpected blessings.

One was that I lost a good friend of mine but the thing about being friends with this person was that no matter the fact that I loved them with all my heart, being friends with them ALWAYS caused me some type of pain, suffering, stress, or headache.

When one person walks out of your life, God brings another person into your life. That's exactly what happened this week. It was fully unexpected but a blessing nonetheless because God has BETTER plans for me.

If you must know, the friendship was ended mutually and not on bad terms at all. We both wished each other the best and found closure.

With that door closed, I'm now FULLY FOCUSING on God's plans for my future, my grades, my career, my family, my friends, and THE BLESSING.

I am so much happier and cannot thank Jesus enough for all that he's already DONE for me♥

In Love with Valentine's Day

I'm Obsessed with having an obsession

Funny thing about obsessions. They are healthy.

Recently, I've become obsessed with Lil Wayne. I don't really understand why but whenever his music comes on, ironically, I'm at peace with the world. Maybe because he just has a way of wording his raps that speaks to me and my Jersey blood but as crazy as it sounds he helps me feel less emotional. When I listen to him rap about the things he wants to do to that one guy he's always talking to in his raps...it sorta justifies my emotions and helps me feel that being this emotional over something so small and petty makes me HUMAN. Either that or I'm a Moon woman. :P

The funniest thing about my obsession with Lil Wayne stemmed from me thinking Lil Wayne was the typical black man who rapped about all the ways he can make money and sex a woman. Well, that and my younger sister is in love with him. I used to yell at her every time she would listen to his music and tell her she should be listening to something more positive.

Today, I've made a complete 180. I freak out anytime I hear about Lil Wayne like a crazy fan girl minus the urge to want to rape Weezy. :P I listen to at least one of his songs once or twice a day. It's come to the point in the obsession-ship where if I don't listen to Lil Wayne, it's usually a real sad day for me. Yeah, his music is my drug.

I became obsessed with Lil Wayne because I got to know who he really was by listening to his music. Yet, some people today are obsessed with the wrong people. The thing about obsessions and even love, they are blind to flaws and imperfections. Real people today are wolves in sheep's clothing. You should be careful who you trust and confide in.

I don't think the world should be obsessed with what they are obsessed with, though. I mean it's great to be inspired by celebrities and public figures but the world today has gone mad obsessing over things that are temporary.

To name some examples beside Lil Wayne,there's Twilight, Jersey Shore, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Harry Potter, Bad Girls Club, Glee etc.

I mean, I'm not hating on you liking and enjoying these books, movies, tv shows and people but you should never put any of them on a pedestal and I hope to God no one reading this has a Snooki shrine. :O

I know I'm biased but if anyone should be obsessed over and his words should be like a drug to your soul, it should be Jesus. He's done more for you and me than anyone will ever do. He did it before he ever met you. He died and took all your pain, sin, sickness, poverty, and any life trial you will ever face and carried and conquered it on the cross. Three days later, he rose again out of the gates of Hell just to come back to tell you and me how much he loves us. That's unconditional true love in it's purest form, and if I must be completely honest, there's NO GREATER MAN and will never be another JESUS♥ I'm as obsessed with this MAN as he is with me.

Kewl. At least you finally understand how much of a JESUS FREAK I am.

Lil Wayne is a lyrical genius but he can never rap to save my life.

Jesus already did EVERYTHING I could ever ask, think, say, believe and receive and for that, I am eternally thankful.
